I have worked for the last 45 years in successive leadership roles in the public and private sectors, in India and in the US. For most of this period, I have worked on a variety of space applications, and the development of innovations that seek to provide better quality and affordable solutions for rural and remote regions of the world. For example, I have designed and delivered an Addressable Radio for Emergency Alert, based on multi-country inputs post 2004 tsunami.  I was instrumental in creating a satellite-enabled tablet for direct content delivery to students and just in time coaching for teachers in Africa. I pioneered the first satellite‐based tele-medicine project in India. I was with ISRO, holding important executive positions like Director INSAT, Director MCF –Hassan etc.

 

I am very impressed by the possibility of training the college students over a period of time, acting as a Catalyst to glue together topics taught in the university in such a way to enable them to get better placements, perform better at work, succeed in multiple spheres of life and become better citizens. I wish to support this team of extraordinary people with tremendous motivation and commitment in a variety of ways, bringing in my contacts and experience for the success of their mission.
